ARIA AWARDS DOP 2012
I was very fortunate that I had received the offer as DOP on the red carpet on the 28th -29th of November (2012) for the ARIA awards. I filmed all the interviews with singers such as Timomatic, Justice Crew, Ruby Rose , Collectives, etc. I was also invited in the media room and after party. It was an amazing experience!
The footage I filmed by myself was edited and put together. The footage i filmed can be viewed on the left!

Trademark Music Video
I worked on a music video with Trademark films, directed under Alper Kasap and produced by Tony Cogur. I played a small role as the grip assistant who sets up the lights, cameras and makes sure the stage is lit, fixed as the director wishes. I also was fortunate on the day to work with the art department, assisting in setting up each scene with props before the scene was shot. It gave me a better understanding of the importance of lighting, angels and art direction. The music video I helped filming can be seen on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngOM_v0lWBA
SPAA Internship (Screen Producers Association of Australia)
SPAA is the industry body that represents Australian independent film and television producers on all issues affecting the business and creative aspects of screen production. I did a short internship with SPAA (2013). I helped build a database and was their research assistant, expanding contacts and organizing paperwork.
Designer
I recently designed the Latino Burn calendar. It got published in October 2012. It was a highlight since it is my first design that was published to the public. You can see my designs and other work on my blog.
Australian Film Festival (AFF)
Australian Film Festival is the most recognized film festival in Australia. It celebrates the Australian film makers, directors and actors that have not been given credit for their work. Working with AFF director Barry Watterson, and his crew. I was given a few roles. I created and managed their blog and social media (blog : http:// australianfilmfestival.wordpress.com/)
I also judged the short film competition and managed paperwork (organizing work papers, events, volunteers and timetable for the film festival dates). I organized spreadsheets and their dropbox. The internship went from January- March. It’s a 3 month internship, full of fun and exciting events that made me fall in love with film industry and Australian film work.
WOW Film Festival
I’m working as the Social Media Manger for WOW film festival. I manage the blogs, social media pages and email promotions for upcoming events, information of the directors and their films. It’s been a very exciting experience, and I enjoyed the pressure of a fast paced environment. It has been an amazing experience to work with the marketing and publicity team and understanding how it is managed and organized. I have been given a permanent position as social media manager and nominated in the event managing team for the WIFT committee.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival
I did full time work at the fashion festival this year at Town hall. I worked there as a consumer host. My job required me to sell tickets, look after the Mercedes Benz partners and sponsors and the VIP costumers. I worked every day during the fashion festival, met designers, the MX team, productions teams, media teams and the CIOs of various companies. I was also given the honor of assisting the production team and photographers. Other than the fact I met all the production, event managers and the models, I learnt how to communicate face-to-face to costumers with confidence and enthusiasm!
Z-space
Z space (2008) is one of Australia’s leading creative studios, working with them was the most enjoyable experience. I grasped the opportunity to learn and meet the experts behind animation and the production of commercials. I met various animators, editors, directors and assistants. I had the chance to sit with each person and learn what their job was all about- the importance of originality and sophistication. When I wasn’t meeting the workers, I was assigned some work. I did Photoshop work for their clients and they were impressed with what I had achieved. It was inspiring and it kept me motivated, knowing that I would love to be a part of the film industry.
An example of what they do can be viewed on the left.
